HOW TO EXPORT YOUR CONTACTS

Sagepoint.com doesn’t support direct export of contacts, but this can be accomplished as follows:

  1. Export your event data into a CSV file (See below)
  2. Open the file in Excel
  3. Deleting all the extra columns and save just the e-mail addresses into a new CSV file.
  4. Depending on what program you are using, you can now import directly from the new CSV file or open it in a text editor like “Notepad”, copy the e-mails and paste them.

A. TO EXPORT THE CONTACTS FROM A SPECIFIC EVENT OR SIGN-UP

1. Go to http://www.sagepoint.com and login using the e-mail and password you used to create your account.

2. Your “Home” dashboard will display a list of your next ten upcoming events.  You should see “(Your Event Name)”, i.e. “Fun Festival Volunteers” listed in the “Your Events & Sign-Ups” area in the center.  Click on the name of the event you want to export contacts from.

a. If you have more than ten upcoming events, click on the “Events” tab to see ALL your events.
b. To see Past Events, click on “Past” in the blue header above your events.

3. In the “Organizer Tools” area, just below the “Description, you will see “Download CVS File”.  Click on “Download CSV File”

4. In the pop-up, select “RSVP” or “Sign-Up” depending on which you have then click “Download”.  This will export the data into a CSV file.

B. TO EXPORT ALL YOUR CONTACTS

1. Go to http://www.sagepoint.com and login using the e-mail and password you used to create your account.

2. From the “Home” tab or the “Event Tab” click “New Event”

a. In the “Event Title” Field enter a placeholder like “Export Contacts” or whatever you’d like.

b. Scroll down and click checkbox for “Include an RSVP”

c.  Scroll down and click “Continue”

d. In Step 2, Under the E-mail address field, click on “Choose from your Sagepoint Contacts”

e. In the pop-up, click the checkbox for “All”, then click “Add Contacts” at the bottom.

f.  Once all of your contacts have been added, click “Save Draft” at the bottom.  This will save your event as a draft and display your event list.  (no e-mails will be sent).

g.  Now follow the instructions above for “A. TO EXPORT THE CONTACTS FROM A SPECIFIC EVENT OR SIGN-UP”
